DTCetc’s Take

About GIR

GIR is a kitchen tool brand founded by Samantha Rose in 2012. Based on the frustration of using standard, mediocre kitchen tools, Rose set out to create products that would "get it right" - hence the name GIR. The brand's flagship product is a spatula made from a single piece of silicone, solving common problems like burning wooden handles and warping in the dishwasher. Since then, GIR has expanded its product line to include tongs, mashers, peelers, and more, all with the same commitment to quality and innovation. With a focus on reimagining kitchen tools, GIR is perfect for anyone looking for high-quality, reliable products that make cooking easier and more enjoyable.

Who Shops At GIR

GIR appeals to home cooks and culinary enthusiasts who seek reliable, innovative, and durable kitchen tools. These shoppers prioritize quality over quantity, opting for items that offer long-lasting functionality over quick-fix solutions. They appreciate practical design enhancements, like GIR's single piece silicone tools, that solve common kitchen irritations such as heat damage or dishwasher warping. These customers often take joy in the act of cooking, treating it as a creative endeavor or even a therapeutic pastime, and therefore value tools that elevate their culinary experience. GIR shoppers believe in the brand's mission to "get it right," seeing the kitchen not just as a functional space but a hub for innovation, enjoyment, and the art of preparing food.

GIR's Shipping Policy

GIR currently ships within the United States, excluding Alaska and Hawaii. Unfortunately, they do not ship to P.O. boxes at this time. In-stock orders are typically fulfilled within 2-3 business days, and expedited shipping is available for orders placed within the contiguous United States, excluding Alaska, Hawaii, and international orders. Selecting “Expedited Shipping (2 business days)” at checkout will allow for faster delivery. However, this offer is only applicable for in-stock items and not valid on previous purchases, special orders, gift cards, taxes, or sale items. GIR is working hard to mitigate fulfillment and shipping delays during the holiday season, so please allow extra time for orders to arrive.

GIR's Return Policy

GIR offers a 30-day return policy for unopened and unused items. To initiate a return, customers can start the process on their website, and GIR will provide a pre-paid and pre-addressed postage label. If an item is returned due to defect or any fault of the company, the purchase price will be refunded in full. It may take up to 10 business days for GIR to receive and process the return, with an additional 2-7 business days for the refund to reflect on the account statement. However, GIR's reusable face mask kits and filters cannot be refunded, returned, or exchanged due to the unique nature of the COVID-19 pandemic. If a product arrives damaged, customers can contact GIR at gir@patternbrands.com for a replacement.
